Powder coatings for exterior metal products

Exterior coating is a system decision. Exposure, substrate, pretreatment, coating, film build and curing all need to support the same project requirement.

Start with the application environment

Intercoat exterior series can be considered for architectural elements, exterior metalwork, fencing, gates, doors and other coated metal products used outdoors. Before selecting a series, define where the part will be installed, what substrate and pretreatment will be used, and whether the project requires a named approval or certificate.

  • Substrate, fabrication method and surface condition.
  • Pretreatment and the complete coating system.
  • Installation environment and expected exposure.
  • Colour, gloss, texture and visual reference.
  • Part geometry, film build, application and curing conditions.
  • Required certificate, class, test method and document version.
