Privacy Policy

Intercoat OÜ operates this website. This policy explains what data we collect when you visit, why we collect it, who processes it and what rights you have over it.

The website is deliberately simple: there are no user accounts, no registration and no forms that send us your data. You can read every page without giving us any personal information.

Who is responsible for your data

The data controller is Intercoat OÜ, Kadastiku 29A, 21004 Narva, Estonia.

For any question about this policy or about your personal data, write to info@intercoat.eu or call +372 5667 7971.

What this website collects

Very little, and most of it is technical:

  • Language preference — when you choose a language, your choice is stored in a cookie so the site opens in that language next time. It holds no personal data.
  • Your cookie choice — we store whether you accepted or declined statistics, so that we do not ask again on every visit.
  • Server logs — our hosting provider records standard technical data such as IP address, browser type, date and time and the page requested. These logs keep the site available and protect it against misuse.
  • Website statistics — only if you accept them, as described in the next section.

We never ask for your name, company or contact details anywhere on this website. If you write or call us, we process only what you choose to tell us, and only in order to answer you.

Cookies and website statistics

We use Google Analytics, a service of Google Ireland Limited (Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland), to see how the website is used: which pages are read, on which devices and from which countries. This tells us which technical information is worth expanding.

Google Analytics is loaded only after you accept statistics cookies. If you decline, no analytics cookie is set and no data is sent to Google. Declining costs you nothing: the whole website works exactly the same.

IP addresses are shortened before they are stored, so the statistics do not identify you personally.

You can change your mind at any time through the Cookie settings link at the bottom of any page, or by deleting the cookies in your browser.

What we do not do

We would rather state this plainly than leave it to be assumed:

  • We do not use your data for advertising mailings, newsletters or promotional notifications of any kind.
  • We do not sell, rent or trade personal data.
  • We show no advertising on this website, and we set no advertising or ad-network cookies.
  • We do not build advertising profiles and do not use the statistics to target you.
  • We pass data to no one except the service providers named in this policy, who act strictly on our instructions.

All processing is carried out strictly in accordance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and Estonian data protection law.

Legal grounds for processing

We process data on the following grounds:

  • Consent, GDPR Article 6(1)(a) — for website statistics. You give it in the cookie window and can withdraw it at any time.
  • Legitimate interest, GDPR Article 6(1)(f) — for server logs and site security, so that the website stays available and protected against misuse.
  • Steps before a contract, GDPR Article 6(1)(b) — when you contact us about a coating requirement and we answer you.

How long data is kept

  • Language and consent cookies: up to 12 months.
  • Statistics in Google Analytics: up to 14 months.
  • Server logs: only as long as needed for security and technical diagnosis.
  • Email and telephone correspondence: as long as needed to deal with your enquiry and to meet our record-keeping obligations.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to:

  • Access — ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you
  • Rectification — ask us to correct data you believe is wrong or incomplete
  • Erasure — ask us to delete your personal data, in the cases the law provides for
  • Restriction — ask us to limit how we process your data, in the cases the law provides for
  • Objection — object to processing that rests on our legitimate interest
  • Portability — ask for your data in a machine-readable form, or have it sent to another organisation
  • Withdrawal of consent — withdraw your consent to statistics at any time, without affecting what was lawful before

Write to info@intercoat.eu to exercise any of these rights. We answer within one month.

If you believe your data has been handled incorrectly, you may lodge a complaint with the Estonian Data Protection Inspectorate (Andmekaitse Inspektsioon, www.aki.ee) or with the supervisory authority of the country you live in.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the new version is published on this page. Where a change concerns what we do with your data, we ask for your consent again.
