Intercoat 900 has QUALICOAT Class 1 approvals for smooth gloss (P-2256), smooth matt (P-2257) and fine-textured moire (P-2259) finishes.
QUALICOAT Class 1 approvals have been updated for three Intercoat 900 powder coating systems: P-2256 for smooth gloss, P-2257 for smooth matt and P-2259 for fine-textured moire.
The certificates support architectural and exterior-metal projects where the approved coating system and finish must be documented before specification.
Each approval applies to the system and finish named in the certificate. Customers should select the certificate corresponding to the required surface, then check the TDS, colour, substrate and curing conditions before production approval.

Seven external reports cover resistance to cold liquids and rubbing, together with lead and organotin testing for selected RAL colours and finishes.
Intercoat has added seven external laboratory reports for selected powder coating systems to the Downloads section.
Three CATAS reports cover surface resistance to cold liquids and fastness to rubbing on coated metal samples: 401636 R00, 401637 R00 and 401638 R00.
Four TÜV reports cover testing for lead and other organotin compounds in selected colours and finishes: AZ 698198 for RAL 9016 smooth gloss, AZ 698199 for RAL 9005 fine texture, AZ 698200 for RAL 7016 smooth matt and AZ 698201 for RAL 7016 smooth semi-gloss.
Each report applies to the coating sample and test conditions identified in the document. The relevant report should be reviewed together with the TDS, SDS and requirements of the intended application.

Intercoat has developed new matt powder coatings with approximately 30% gloss in RAL 7009 Green grey and RAL 9003 Signal white.
Intercoat has developed new matt powder coating formulations with a gloss level of approximately 30% in RAL 7009 Green grey and RAL 9003 Signal white.
At this gloss level, the coated surface remains matt while retaining a subtle, silky sheen. The result is a softer appearance than the completely flat surface produced by a deep-matt coating.
The final colour and gloss level should be evaluated on the actual part, as the substrate, part geometry, application conditions and curing process can affect the finished appearance.
Before serial production, the selected formulation should be confirmed in a production trial.

Smoother textured finishes are available for interior metal products where the texture should look controlled and refined.
Intercoat offers powder coatings with a smoother moire texture for interior metal products that require a more controlled surface appearance.
Potential applications include furniture, homeware, interior metalwork and decorative components.
